Hi,
I have the same issue using Google XML Sitemaps plugin.
According to this post on Google Search Console forum, the submited sitemap must be an .xml file. Also the sitemap.html page returns errors.

To fix this, in the plugin settings, try to uncheck “Include HTML sitemap”.
Hope this will do the job…
I received the same notice from Google Search Console. Trying to create sitemap for https://www.saludaaviation.com/sitemap.xml
When you click on the above url, the sitemap does seem to be generated, but Google Search is issuing the same error.
Thanks for your help.

Are you sure it is same error ? Your sitemap is not generated at all.
When you access your sitemap.xml url you should get something like that :
URL of sub-sitemap Last modified (GMT)
https://acme-webcreations.fr/sitemap-misc.xml 2020-02-20 14:03
https://acme-webcreations.fr/sitemap-pt-stm_service-2020-01.xml 2020-02-20 12:42
https://acme-webcreations.fr/sitemap-pt-stm_service-2019-12.xml 2020-02-19 21:57
https://acme-webcreations.fr/sitemap-pt-stm_service-2019-11.xml 2020-02-19 21:50
Maybe try to regenerate it in the plugin ?
I’ll try to regenerate it. Here is the email text from Google:

I am receiving the same error. I didn’t understand. All the settings are normal. I didn’t make any changes.
It says ” No: ‘noindex’ detected in ‘robots’ meta tag”.
When I check my robots.txt, I don’t see any “noindex”.
Any help will be appreciated.
The same ‘noindex’ problem.
What’s wrong with this plugin?
