Since the end of October, I have had almost 200 issues in Google Search Console. All of these issues are “Submitted URL has crawl issue”

Every page containing this error all follow the same pattern, they are for image files uploaded to my site and used on pages (or in some few cases, not used at all). They are all located at https://MyDomain/ImageName/

If I go to one of these URL’s it successfully redirects me to, and displays the image file. Which are all located at https://MyDomain/wp-content/uploads/year/month/ImageName.xxx.

this hasn’t appeared for every image on my site

I can’t find anything online relating to these issues but I have seen that there are a few people reporting the issue. I initially thought this may be due to the issues raised back in May with V7, but I didn’t even launch my site until late June and the issues only popped up in October. There does not seem to be any issues rendering these pages, but since the images do not exist at the URL supplied by the XML file, I don’t know why they exist in my sitemap even if there is a redirect on them.

What can I do to fix these errors?
