Submissions CSV Export not aligned with headings

When exporting submissions, the fist few columns are fine but then after a certain number of columns, the heading (or the question) and the user response dont match up. E.g the headings would be first_name, last_name, email, child_name, address, phone. The address would show under child_name when when one of the fields such as email or last name was not filled in.

It happens when there is a long form with quite a lot of fields and some fields are optional.

Please see if this bug can be fixed.

Hope this message finds you well.

I was not able to reproduce the issue on my end, could you export the form following this guide and share it using a Drive service like Google Drive or pastebin.pl, could you also share the form submission export too?

Please remove any sensitive data from the forms and the submissions export.

The child 1, 2, 3, etc. detail fields are conditional based on how many children then select.

I see you have shared the sample submission file, however, to replicate and troubleshoot the issue we would require the form export as Laura mentioned above. Can you please share the form export with us?

If the form contains any sensitive information please feel free to remove it.

After exporting, please share the code using a service such as https://pastebin.com which is free to use.

Hi @muhammadibn

After couple of tests, it seems this could be related those fields:
```
{address-6}
{address-7}
```
which are required and hidden at the same time if “Address same as child” is set to NO.

I escalated this case to our SLS Team so that they can take a closer look at this. We will post an update here as soon as more information is available.

Thank you for the update. That is interesting to note.

In this use case, we do need the field to be required if the person selects YES.

I’m afraid this seems more like a bug when checked, however, we are still waiting for an update from our SLS to confirm regarding this. Please do note that in case it’s confirmed as a bug, it’ll require fixing on the plugin side in a future release.

Will keep you posted once we get further update asap.

I would like to update you regards the current issue, we confirmed it is a bug in the plugin and unfortunately, the fix requires updating the plugin code but we already reported it to our developers.

We can’t give an estimated time yet for the fix but subscribing to our roadmap https://wpmudev.com/roadmap/ is a good way to be posted about upcoming versions, once they are released, it is going to be described at changelog found on https://wordpress.org/plugins/forminator/#developers

Since the bug was acknowledged, reported and tasked to be fixed, we are marking this as resolved, but feel free to let us know if you have any additional questions.
