    Hi

For some reason, the sub menu is not showing up. I tried it in different website with different themes. But the result is same. This is the website I am concerned about: http://www.thefamilyinstitute.com/staging2/

Do you think that I might missing something. I can give you the login credentials to check privately. Can you please confirm how can I do that?

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

What value do you have in the Menu Depth option?

    Hi,

    It’s the default value. So I guess it’s 5.

It’s already has a sub menu. You can check it here.

    Hi there,

Deactivating the Menu Image plugin fixes the issue so there is a problem with that plugin.

I believe there are other posts on this forum that talk about the same issue so it maybe worth looking at those.

    Hey again,

I found the old forum post talking about this exact plugin:

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/sub-menu-icon-not-showing-and-click-of-menu-item-does-not-expand-sub-menu/

I am sorry, I don’t see a solution there. I really need the Menu Image plugin there. So I can’t deactivate it.

Can you try to fix the conflict instead, since this is a very common issue?

    Hi there,

No because the issue is with the other plugin so its not possible.

The other forum posts provides alternative plugins that do the same thing but that are still maintained, are built properly and are compatible and create the same functionality.

Then I would prefer to change the Responsive Menu plugin, not the other way. Because there are very limited plugins for Menu Image, but lots of available for responsive menu.

    Hi there,

Not a problem, thats the beauty of WordPress – you decide!

Please bare in mind however that is an abandonded plugin and may cause you further issues in future.

How did you know that it’s an abandoned plugin? I can’t see any warning here?

You might want to check this reply from the Menu Image plugin author.

Both are essential plugins for users. I think, a team work might be helpful for everyone.

    Hi there,

Just based on the other forum posts, I have never used it myself so was just going by other peoples advice.

Either way, their plugin needs updating to stop it overwriting any additional menu classes that are added by any other plugins and it should then be compatible with mine.

    Hi there,

If it is possible I will look into adding it but its not as simple as you make it sound Im afraid.

If there are enough requests in this regard (so far only about 3 in 4 years and 750,000 downloads) then I will certain look into it further. I will add it to my development list but currently there are much more urgent matters to attend to.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

    All the best
