Subdomains Not Working

    I am trying to add a subdomain site to my current site. I followed instructions I found online. The tutorial had me initiate the network and then I followed the instructions WordPress gave me.

    I created a blog.dir folder then added code to wp-config and then made changes to the htaccess. My site allows me to create new sites but when I try to click on them or go to their dashboards I get a page on Cox that says the website cannot be found.

    My main site still works, it just won’t let me do anything with the subdomains. I am new to this so I apologize for my lack of knowledge. If anyone could help that would me greatly appreciated.

    Hello haileypurdy,

    I tend to think you looked at an old tutorial. There is no need to create a blog.dir folder. The instructions on how to create a network can be found here.

    Perhaps verify what you may have done differently.
