    You can map subdomains the same way you map domains.

    Thank you.

    Unfortunately I don’t feel confortable enough with the documentation and don’t really understand it:
    “If your user is mapping a hostname of a domain (sometimes called a “subdomain”) like http://www.example.com or blog.example.com it’s sufficient to create a CNAME record pointing at their blog url (NOT IP address).”

    Where is a detailed documentation for that ?

    Thanks for the help.

    You don’t need to use a CNAME. That’s just an option for situations where the main domain is hosted somewhere else.

    It’s working just great, thanks so much for that plugin and the help,
    Congratulation !!

    @zedrino Could you share how you did it? My current situation is:

    I have this:

    mainsite.com
    site1.mainsite.com = anotherurl.com (Remember this url)
    site2.mainsite.com = anotherurl2.com

    What I want is:

    site3.mainsite.com = site.anotherurl.com

    Thanks in advance!

    @renato – people do not normally look at resolved threads. What I said above was

    You can map subdomains the same way you map domains.

    Actually it’s very difficult to search resolved threads, the search is not very helpful with this…how does search on wordpress.org without having to go through all topics one by one?

    I understand @wpmuguru, but I was in the hope that @zedrino could share his insights.

    I tried creating a subdomain in the way that we map domains but for some reason it hadn’t worked. That’s why his insights would be valuable here, I’d be probably doing some wrong or missing something.

    @renato – as far as the DM plugin goes you map it just the same regardless of webserver config, etc. Where the process is different is among hosts & DNS providers.

    Unless the OP has the same hosting company as you he/she is not likely going to be able to provide you with specific instructions.

    If you want to ask for help, create a new thread & provide info on what you did, who your ISP is, etc.

    Got it! Thanks a lot for instructions! Gonna do it right away! =)
