I used it on a multisite before so I know it can work… Are there any emails or errors in your email log?
Oh and did you activate it per site?
where I can find this this log?
I tried to activate it by site and by network – nothing.
If you have re-installed check you still have active subscribers, you may have inadvertently cleared the database.
Also, check that the sender account is selected, and that it uses an existing and on-domain email address.
I feel that I missed something simple in the Subscribe2 plugin settings… But unfortunately I still can not force it to work!
At present time I did only couple addresses as active for testing (my and my wife) and subscribed these addresses to all categories.
I activated the plugin per site – is it correct?
To Ipstenu: Where I can see e-mail log connected with Subscribe2?
When I trying to Send message to subscribers. I press OK (ie send) then inscription “Are you sure that you want to do it?” and are no buttons with “OK” or other confirmation etc.
May be the problem connected with this – When I tried to press the button “Subscribe to all categories” in “your subscription” I received this:
Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, ‘s2_admin::wpmu_subscribe’ was given in /home/deynek5/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 405
I meant your server email log. Mine has one where I can see what’s been going on.
That error would maybe point to an incomplete multisite setup. There is additional multisite code called into Subscribe2 but only if the core WordPress is_multisite() function evaluates as true.
It seems that this code is not being included so Subscribe2 thinks you are still running per site. Check you’ve put all the necessary defines into the wp-config.php file.
Do I need to put some additional in wp-config.php specially for Subscribe2?
Hmm… I checked wp-congig.php there is present all what was suggested by Network setup for config:
define( ‘MULTISITE’, true );
define( ‘SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL’, false );
$base = ‘/’;
define( ‘DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE’, ‘deyneko.com’ );
define( ‘PATH_CURRENT_SITE’, ‘/’ );
define( ‘SITE_ID_CURRENT_SITE’, 1 );
define( ‘BLOG_ID_CURRENT_SITE’, 1 );
I found additional line which was first: define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true);
But I removed “blog” in main (first site) – deyneko.com instead deyneko.com/blog/. Just all.
To Ipstenu I have access to ftp, c-panel but I have no idea where I can see mail server log… But I guess problem with my settings/errors in multisite or Subscribe2.
Send E-mail from Subcribe2 doesn’t work too, after I try to send it “says” Are you sure you want to do this? And there is no any buttons to confirm or refuse. Are you sure you want to do this? And there is no any buttons to confirm or refuse. See screen:
Are you sure you want to do this? And there is no any buttons to confirm or refuse. : See screen
You’re missing a define.
Did you delete that?
I tried to delete and added it again it didn’t influence on Subscribe2
Turn off Subscribe2, Make sure that define is there. Turn Subscribe2 back on.
Also have you done the usual turning off all your other plugins etc?
MattyRob – I don’t think it’s WPMS being installed wrong, or we’d have a lot more errors…
Thanx for answer MattyRob.
Yes It seems I have such problem.
May be this is coincidence because I started install multisite little bie about two weeks ago and in all this time I switched off my plugins (some of them earlier) and didn’t use. 🙂
The Multisite code seems okay, are you sure that all of the Subscribe2 files are present on your server?
I don’t know… I just installed it automatically.
To Ipstenu: I turned off/on Subcribe2 many times 🙂 Two times I reinstalled it… Before install multisite I turned off all plugins and now only few turned on now.
When I created a post and put there S2 form then I subscribed by entering an e-mail. I received notice that an user subscribed. Also Subscribe2 worked OK with confirmation by link.
Sometimes the order of silly things matter 🙂
You may want to try manually uploading the files at this point.
The error you are seeing is discussed and fixed in this thread and it’ll be in the next release.
I fix some problem but unfortunately the plugin doesn’t work with my multisite… It doesn’t send message when an article is published.
