styles won't work anymore

    hi
    i installed the styles plugin a few days ago and it worked fine. i have now changed the theme and it seems styles isn’t working at all. all i get is the basic styles plugin on the plugin list, with a button saying “customize”. when i click it i get a very limited panel of options, just site title & tagline, colors, background image, static front page. when i used it before it let me change everything to the last detail?! i remember it prompted me to install it for the theme i was using, twenty thirteen or twenty thirteen child, but it’s not doing anything now. i don’t understand what the problem is.

    Hi huus57,

    Thanks for using Styles! I’m sorry for the delay — I was away at a wedding this weekend.

    My first recommendation is make sure you are running the most recent version of Styles (1.0.14 as of writing this). We did fix some issues with recognition of child themes recently, one of which is similar to your issue. Try upgrading the plugin through the WordPress updater — that may resolve your issue.

    If that doesn’t fix it, can you tell me a bit more about your site? I just tried to create and activate a TwentyTwelve child theme called “Twenty Twelve Child 01”, and options showed up fine. Additional information that would help me to narrow down what’s causing your issue and provide a solution would be:

    • What is your site’s address? (The URL)
    • If you TwentyTwelve Child Theme is not currently active, what is it’s folder name? (In wp-content/themes)?

    hi

    i got it to work in the end – i activated another theme, then reactivated twenty twelve and it prompted me to download that specific plugin. i’m not sure how or why that worked. it’s working now, although safari doesn’t seem to like the plugin a lot, might use it in chrome from now on (my version of safari is old, it might be that).
    the site is http://www.huus57.com, i customized twenty twelve to my taste, but there isn’t much on it yet.

    something ate my post, so i won’t retype everything :/
    it works now, after installing a different theme and then reinstalling twenty twelve, not sure how that worked, but it’s ok now.
