Style doesn't show on single.php

Hi

I’ve made a tag p class=”big” /p that I use for the first paragraph in each post. It works fine on the front page and pages but not on the single.php. Is there a conflict in the code somewhere?

I’m running WP 3.2 with the Default theme.
