stuck on “Optimize database tables”

    The first task “Optimize database tables” hangs. We let it run for a few hours and the icon never stopped spinning. When refreshing the page, it looks like the task didn’t even run. Tried restarting it a couple times, and running it on a dev and production site.

    The other tasks complete successfully. Why would the Optimize Database tables function hang?

    I got the same problem. It’s stuck on Optimizing Table: wp_ualp_user_activity

    Hi,

    Apologies for the delay.

    The most likely cause is that the process is being timed out by the server.

    Please could you ask your hosts/server admin to check the PHP error logs? There should be a record of the timeouts.
