I had a similar issue recently. Turned out to be a plugin conflict. Try disabling all your plugins and see of that works.

I disabled all plugins and it still didn’t work. I also tried activating them one at a time and still nothing. Also tried switching to Twenty Eleven theme (currently running Twenty Ten) and still no impact. Also can’t add images to posts (which I’ve mentioned in a different thread).
Just to add to this….I have the exact same issue. Disabled all plugins without change. Tried multiple browsers. Can’t think of what else to try….
