Is that working before in previous version?
Try to deactivate another plugin to cross check, if any other plugin conflicting.
will I lose all the sliders I set up if I deactivate?

No, you won’t lose any slider if you deactivate the plugin. After deactivating the plugin, sliders won’t show on pages or post.
