Structure issue

Ok I hope that I can get some guidance on restructuring my site. Basically it’s cluttered, too many different area running at the same time to be effectively managed in core. I have articles, how-to guides and reviews which are broken down further by category.

Currently I have a separate page for each type of review I write. One page section for each of the following Tv shows, movies, books, and technology. I mean there must be a better way to do this.

One thought I had was to roll out a core wp site, and then break each of these sections out into their own separate wp sub-site. My concern with this is having to maintain a bunch of overlapping logins, plugins and themes.
