• I am completely new to wp but managed to set up a simple page.
But I have a question about the structure:
I have one section called “My travels” and have made a page for that
And under that I have USA 2017 09.20 – 10.12 with a page for that.
BUT what do I do now?
I plan to make diary during my trip to usa. But do I have to make a new page for each day – or how do I do?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Set your permalinks to show the day and date and year and simply post daily. You will not need the date in the slug or post title. Each should however be unique and for SEO purposes, descriptive. Consider using Tags and Categories also. That will allow archive pages of posts, for example, by Country, City.

So I just write the post on the page for travels?
But must I then put it into the menu manually or….?

    I have these 3 pages:

    Home
    Travels
    Reflections
    Pictures

But if I click Posts -> New Posts and write on, then it ends up on the Home page. How can I place it on one of the other pages?

Since you are just starting – switch to a default theme and review how posts and pages (and menus) work, along with asking this to your theme provider.

@graverholt Create categories instead of pages, then put those in your menu, then when you create posts for each day, assign them to those categories as needed.

Pioner: I have installed “TwentyTwelve”. Do you mean I shall deactivate it?
