So I have ran into a rather interesting issue that I haven’t been able to find information on yet.

Whenever we have a customer that needs a refund, someone goes and logs into stripe and refunds the product. There are no issues and the payment is refunded, when you go into the woocommerce order everything is fine and the order is said to be refunded. However when you look at who the order was refunded by it lists an incorrect user. Woocommerce is listing the user that has the id of 1 instead of the user who logged into the stripe dashboard to process the refund.

Here is a screenshot showing the issue https://snipboard.io/r3QkGi.jpg
The arrows are pointing at what I need fixed.

This is happening and has happened to every single refund that is done through the stripe dashboard. Is it possible to change it so it lists the proper person who did the refund or at least change it so it lists a different user for every stripe dashboard refund?

    Hi @darkeghost,

I’ve performed some cross-testing for us today on several of my sites which have the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce, Stripe and our free Storefront theme as the only enabled software. When doing so I’ve not been able to replicate the behaviour which you describe with the incorrect user being displayed for a refund action on a WooCommerce order.

When performing a refund that should be performed from the WooCommerce Order screen using the Refund via stripe button so that the order can be updated with the user who performed that refund.

Looking at your screenshot you seem to be performing refunds directly from the Stripe Dashboard itself.

When I refund an order from a WooCommerce order it displays the name of the WordPress user who performed the refund. Below are two screenshots of refunds I performed on our test sites using different users.

    Hey @darkeghost,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can reopen it again if you need be.
