    Hi TranslatePress team,

Some of the strings which are not gettext (i.e., can be edited with a “blue” pencil) are labeled as Español de México (Mexican Spanish) when they should be on English.

The text is autogenerated from a plugin for a multistep checkout for Woocommerce:

TranslatePress treats this text as Mx Spanish, the default language, and not as English, the language of the plugin (it does not have yet a Spanish translation):

How can I manually translate this text to display it on Spanish when a user is browsing on Spanish?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello,

The inserted strings seem to be gettext, even if the blue pencil appears.

Please try enabling the following plug-in: https://translatepress.com/docs/developers/disable-translation-of-gettext-strings/

    Thank you for your reply.

I activated the plugin, but the problem that I mentioned persists. In fact, now all other strings have the same problem. Also, my translations are lost until a deactivate the plugin.

I think a solution could be to make an exception so that some strings are not labeled as the default language in TranslatePress, and being able to choose another language.
