Strange Redirection probelm

Having an issue with my home page redirection. Somehow it is redirecting to a page and not my home page which is currently setup for recent posts, not static. I have no redirection in place for the main domain and even when I unpublish the page the redirection still occurs. Once I changed the page name, the redirection happened but gave the message page not found.

This occured earlier today and I did nothing different to cause it. I then updated both WordPress and the theme but still had the same probelm.

Has anyone else had this?
