Strange line breaks in paragraph

I have a problem and can’t solve it myself. Inside paragraphs in my posts, strange line breaks appear, see this example .

I’ve checked the source code and the only thing I see are <p>’s just the way they’re supposed to be. No <br>’s, but these line breaks still do show up.

I use WordPress 2.1.

Any help us greatly appreciated!
