    I am posting for a friend, just to clarify.

    Why does certain wordpress blogs store your email address when you comment?

    My friend commented on a blog and now whenever he clicks on it his email address and name is there even though he didnt fill it in.
    We have tried erasing cookies, unsubscribing, blocking the blog…nothing works.

    This feels like a bit of a privacy violation and I just wondered how we could fix it.

    It’s a precaution against comment spam.

    My friend commented on a blog and now whenever he clicks on it his email address and name is there even though he didnt fill it in.

    That’s not the blog. That’s your friend’s browser auto-completing the email address field. Try clearing the browser’s history and or any form management options.
