    Hi all,

I have just installed iThemes Exchange plugin in my test copy of WP(4.6.1) and when I navigate to http://www.xxx.xxx/store/ on my website I get an Apache error “The requested URL /store/ was not found on this server.”.

Have I missed something during the install/setup of Exchange? Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

    Nick

    Hi Nick,

This error is most likely due to your Apache setup, not Exchange itself. Try checking your logs and see if you can determine the issue there.

You might also check to see if it works using the pretty permalinks or the WordPress page type.

Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Elise

    Hi Elise,

I investigated it a bit more and found that none of the permalinks were functioning for my site, although I was sure they were initially. Switching the WP Permalinks setting to Plain got my pages loading and I determined that the Exchange Store page would work when I set it’s Page Type to WordPress.

Long story short I found a helpful article that described how to reset the Permalinks settings, their relationship with the .htaccess file and finally led to the proper configuration of my sites .conf file so I could change my Permalinks setting to use the prettier Postname option.

Thanks for your reply to my question, your advice got me moving in the right direction.

    Regards,
    Nick
