stopping notifications from WordPress.org plugins I subscribed to

Wordpress.org has a problem. I’m receiving a flurry of emails from the Gutenberg forum but it seems it’s not possible to unsubscribe since, apparently I’m not subscribed to it. It says: ‘You are not currently subscribed to any forums’
If this is the case, why am I still receiving emails?

Goto the profile page and then goto notification setting bottom of the notification page you uncheck the Receive notification by email?
