Hi, thanks for reporting the problem.
It is strange because nothing changed in the plugin itself and it was tested with new WordPress versions. Have you by any chance installed any other plugins lately? Because it could be a conflict.
Could you please list all the plugins that you have active?

Investigation revealed that the bug was caused by WPML plugin.
Specifically, browser language detection in WPML. Turning it off fixed everything.
Steps to fix:
1. Go to WPML config page in admin
2. Find “Browser language redirect” section
3. Check “Disable browser language redirect”
4. Save settings
