Stop slider from pausing on hover

The front page slider images are pausing on hover and I would like the slider to advance regardless of cursor position. I see that
ElectricFeet posted about this 6 months ago. Apparently there was a quick fix (making a change to class-header-slider.php) Another user posted that the fix did not work after a later theme update. Can anyone tell me if this fix works again and how/where to make the fix/edits. (I am a newbie.) Thanks!
