I’ve been getting pingbacks coming in to the comments on my blog from my own blog. It looks like it’s happening when I post a link to a previous article in my blog. Seems weird for my own blog to be sending pingbacks to itself. Is there any way to make it stop doing that without turning off pingbacks completely?

I’m not sure what’s wrong with a single bump in a case like this – how else do you suggest I get a simple question noticed after it’s spent 2 days falling off the radar? But, in any case, thanks for the answer. I’ll give that plugin a try.

Believe it or not, we volunteers look in the No Replies view to see who’s not been helped a lot. Bumping can make it harder for us to find you.

Ahh, that makes sense. Although, that doesn’t seem like a very effective strategy if you get a reply that doesn’t answer the question, as I’ve seen happen. But I suppose there’s no perfect way for this sort of thing to work! 🙂
