Stop auto adding of pages

Hello!

When I deactivate the option of “automatically adding pages to the menu” this option is always ticked again (= enabled) when I come back to the menu editing page.

The option is located in the table wp_options > nav_menu_options > auto_add (in the database).

Even after deactivating all plugins this behaviour persists. I don’t want pages to be added to the menu automatically. How can I stop this?
