Still PHP Warning Bug in 2.9.3: /base/controls-stack.php

    Hey there Elementor team,

    we just updated Elementor in one of our sites to version 2.9.3 because we read your changelog bullet “Fix: Warning in /base/controls-stack.php when a control doesn’t have a dynamic capability (#10578)”.

    As we had the PHP warning…

    Warning: array_merge(): Expected parameter 1 to be an array, null given in /[SERVERPATH]/wp-content/plugins/elementor/includes/base/controls-stack.php on line 1184

    … in every Elementor version greater than 2.8.5 we hoped that this would have been fixed now. But it isn’t. We updated to 2.9.3 and the warning stayed exactly the same. So we again had to rollback to 2.8.5 (for the n-th time now…).

    Did we misunderstand you and the above warning hasn’t been fixed so far?

    Please make sure you have cleared your WP cache, and cache in your server,
    and see if the warning is gone.

    I have forwarded your issue to our development team to check this further.

    @davidr90,

    thank you for coming back to us. We don’t run a WP cache plugin and also no CDN or caching in the server.

    But we tried switching through PHP versions and there was something that should be interesting for you:

    In PHP 7.4 the error above is gone. Just in all PHP versions 7.3 and below the error is there. We tested it down to 5.6.

    So we can switch to PHP 7.3: Error ist there. Then to 7.4: Error is gone. Then back to 7.3: Error ist there – and so on. So the error is completely reproducable.

    Since we don’t want to go to PHP 7.4 already because this is not stable for really all plugins at this moment, we had to roll back Elementor to 2.8.5 again.

    We see that you write “5.6 or higher” as PHP compatibility for Elementor, so we think you will try to fix this, right?
