    Hi,

we have implemented your plugin, but we’re still having troubles, probably with ajax/jquery or something like this. Everything works fine, but the “search bar” on the top of the list is not working and returning the following error:

Uncaught TypeError: c(...).tribe_spin is not a function
You can check it yourself here but for now it has “display:none” css parameter, because we have a big traffic.

    We use following template: Valenti

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

  • Hi Karolina,

Sorry to hear about this problem on your site! It’s a problem I don’t recognize and cannot produce on my local site, so I’m curious – would you be able to run through our set of troubleshooting steps here? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

Those steps will help reveal whether or not there is a theme or plugin conflict here. Be sure to remove your display: none; CSS before doing those tests, so that you can see if the Spinner works at any point in the troubleshooting process.

Let us know what you find!

    Thanks,
    George

    Hi momnt,

thanks for your reply. I’ve tried what I could at the moment, that means I’ve updated everything (and solved all notices/problems which has showed up).

Unfortunately, I can’t switch to Twentyfifteen theme, we have so much visitors, setting and plugins with required plugins with settings that I don’t want even think about problems which can arise. Same thing with turning off all the plugins.

Is there any way how to check it (for example if required thinks are loaded first?)

If you want, I can send you mirror of our site (but it’s 2,5 GB) and you can try to have a look yourself and as well the copy of my System Information from the WP Admin > Events > Settings > Help: System Information box.

Even “previous calendars” are not available when clicking on it. Still same kind of error is produced.

We’d like to really buy it, but first it have to work the free version.

    Let me know soon!

    Hey Karolina,

Would it be possible to test for conflicts on a test site using Twenty Fifteen and without the other plugins? That will effectively give us a “clean canvas” to work with without interrupting your live site.

    Thanks for your help!

How I should create “a test site” only with twenty fifteen and without the other plugins. You think that’s only my hosting who makes the trouble? I’ll try Monday… Best. K.

I do wish there was an easier way to test. Many developers have a local server environment setup so they can diagnose problems and write new code without affecting their live site. But, of course these are not easy to setup either. I guess it’s just the life of a web developer.

    Cheers!

Hi @brook, thanks for your answer, but for me is not clear what mean “a test site” only with twenty fifteen. I use local environment, but this site is so huge that I haven’t arrived to create it – it takes 1,5 GB…

So, I should install another WP at the same server, with only your plugin there and twenty fifteen?

That would be a good idea. It is extremely likely that it will work great for you, so you can then install the other plugins one-by-one until the problem arises. Whichever plugin you last installed before the problem is the one that is likely conflicting. Once you know which plugin it becomes possible to start researching a solution. Sometimes even a simple google search for the name of that plugin and The Events Calendar will yield other uses solutions.

    Cheers!
