• I have 5 posts, and I made one “sticky” using the options when editing the post, changing visibility to “public, sticky”. However it seems to have made no difference. The one post I marked sticky was the second to last, and it comes up second on the homepage (not sticking to first).

I have an installation of wordpress version 4.2.2.

I tried it on another one of my 4.2.2 installations but it works! I’m not sure why, or what I can do about getting the other to work.

The two installations have different plugins and themes, so maybe one of those is stopping “Sticky” working?

  • Hi Jodes81,

Have you tested from another browser or computer? Can you share your URL?

Do you have a caching plugin installed?

It turns out it was the theme. The top post is always the most recent. After that come the stickies, followed by the remainder of the most recent posts (excluding the very most recent one which is at the top above the stickies).

Very confusing. I guess it will have to do. Thanks for your time rwaynick

For sure. I’m glad that you got to the bottom of the issue!
