Thanks for the suggestion, I do not have any caching plugins activated however.
Hello @jangevaare,
first of all: sorry for the late reply.
Can you please send me a list of all your other WordPress-plugins you are using? I am sure that there is some kind of caching-problem somewhere – maybe caused by another plugin, some server-configuration or some browser-setting on client-side.
You can try to disable all other plugins one-by-one temporarily for a short time to figure out if one of those may be responsible for this behavior.
Here’s my list of active plugins:
Asgaros Forum
Child Theme Configurator
Jetpack by WordPress.com
Social Media Feather
WP Add Custom CSS
WP Hide Title
WP User Manager
Anything stand out?
Hello again,
those are looking fine for me. Have you tried this advice?
You can try to disable all other plugins one-by-one temporarily for a short time to figure out if one of those may be responsible for this behavior.
Can you please also check if this could be a problem with the used theme. Is it working as expected with one of the WordPress default themes?
I can’t really say what was responsible, but after some updates on the site it appears to be fixed. I will mark this resolve. Thanks for trying to help me solve it.
I stand corrected. It worked for a single topic, which now can not be unstickied. Certainly seems like a caching issue… Will let you know whether it is a specific pluggin or a theme, or what causing the issue. Thanks.
It is indeed my theme which is causing the issue. The theme is called “Eighteen Tags”.
Hello @jangevaare,
thanks for your reply. I will take a look into it but cant guarantee if I can fix it. Maybe it is something the developer of the theme has to do.
Hello again, @jangevaare
I checked this problem and tried to make some modifications to my code but it has no impact at all when using your theme. I think that it does some kind of caching internally which I cant fix from my plugin. The best thing you can do is to contact the author so he can have a look into it because it is definitely a problem with the theme.
Greetings,
Thomas
