Steam Connect

I am trying to make an image a clickable link that will connect players to our Steam Game (RUST) Server.

If i input this into my browser – steam://connect/206.221.176.77:28041
It will open up the Steam App on my computer, Launch the game (rust) and connect the player to the server.

When i am adding it in wordpress it redirects back to the same page.

Is there some sort of protocol needed. i dont know anything about coding.
