Hi Berto! I had a look at your site and the post in question. Jetpack appears to be connected properly and the stats code looks correct. What leads you to believe that the stats are incorrect? And have you made any recent changes to your site?

I track my visits also with Google Analytics and there you can see the normal traffic figures.

Thanks for the additional info, Berto! I see what you mean with the drastic increase of visits recorded. Have you made any recent changes to your site? And could you provide me with a list of plugins that you currently have installed?

I have not made mayor changes to the sites these days, the only changes are minor plugin updates.

Today stats are skyrocketing again, this is crazy 🙁
We had a look at the logs to try to find out more, and it looks like the requests were made by a bot that wasn’t identifying themselves as a bot.
We’ve added some rules to request bots not to make such requests in the future. Hopefully the spikes shouldn’t happen again!
