It’s free, and you just paste one code into your footer.php file. The reporting is pretty detailed.

Also, a dumb question, where do I find the footer.php file. I viewed as html and found nothing. I am new to Word Press, so I need help.

StatPress is a good one as well. I use it.

You view the stats through google, you will create a login there like you would a gmail account. They have a GRUNDLE of statistics, some of which may not really be important, but definitely interesting.
Or, much more simple, use the stats plugin wordpress.com stats that is ready for download here, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/
