Statistics wrong due to repayments

Hi, everyone,
I’m currently bothered by one point in WooCommerce and I’m wondering if you can’t change that somehow. It’s about refunds, which then falsify the statistics, since they are deducted from the sales on the day I initiated them. Actually, these should be deducted from the day on which the order was placed, or am I wrong?
We also have an Etsy shop, they also do this by deducting a refund from the day the order is placed, not the day I issue the refund.
With WooCommerce, I no longer have an overview of the actual monthly sales.
Is there anything you can do about it or is it just like that?

What is the payment gateway you are using to process payments and refunds?
To clarify this, can you please share a copy of your site’s
System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.I no longer have an overview of the actual monthly sales.
I am sorry to hear that, you can use WooCommerce Analytics to check different reports on your site.

It’s about refunds, which then falsify the statistics, since they are deducted from the sales on the day I initiated them. Actually, these should be deducted from the day on which the order was placed, or am I wrong?
The date of the refund is used (for example) to inform the user about it. The right thing is to reflect when the refund was initiated, for the most part, this is a process that needs 10 to 14 business days (this could vary depending on the card, country, dispute in progress, etc).
If the user is informed about a refund when the order was placed they will think their money will be back sooner and could create confusion on their side. Also for accounting and reports, the date of the refund should be different than the date of the order.
