Static Page with Custom Layout – Shows Blank

    I think there are many threads in here with similar problems but cant quite find the same thing.

    I was using the plugin Page Links To, some time back, but although its purpose had gone it was still sitting there active and I decided it was time to get rid of it.

    The front static page was set to the Page named Dummy which used Page Links to, to redirect to Home

    I deactivated and then later deleted after this didnt work the Page Links To plugin. and set static to home. But it is displaying blank content, the header, footer and sidebar all display as they should just blank main content area. This does’nt matter if I use the domain name only as the URL or domain name/home.

    If I unset the static page or set it elsewhere, home is reachable and displays as it should. If I set the static page against a different page the same problem occurs for any page using Custom Layout, Default Templates seem to show OK.

    So the problem seems to be the combination but any page I use is perfectly functional if not set to Static Front page.

    Any pointers on how to fix this please!

    Have you tried deactivating all your plugins and resetting the plugins folder (change the name on the plugins folder temporarily) to see if that fixes it?

    If not, leave them off, and switch to the default theme and see if the issue persists there.

    Ok thanks I should have already tried this. Yes Display widgets is the Culprit. Deactivating it brings us back.

    I have started a new thread on their forum now I see it relates specifically to that plugin.
