Static Page not able to set

    Hi. I have tried to set my site`s static page but for some reason it won’t be saved and activated.

    using touchfolio theme

    see what I mean here

    I do the action to save my change but then when I visit my site I land on the regular default behaviour “your latest posts” of wordpress.

    I answered my own question for the benefit of the community.

    I discovered that my problem was that I needed to create a alt language version of my page, which I had not done.

    I tried to run my site on a dev version and this time an error message appeared that basically gave me the reason why I had the problem.

    btw, I am using polylang for a biligual french and english site.
