  • I’d like to add a widget underneath a video posted on our home page that displays the most recent blog post. I can only seem to add that widget around, or in the footer bar of the theme. Is there a simple patch for this?

    See thedkco.com
I want to add the recent post in the large empty white space beneath the video.

  • @thedkco.com, I took a look at your website and see what you are saying.

As far as a quick patch goes, I will try to put together a “quick fix” within a week. It will likely be a piece of code we provide on this thread vs. a public release.

We have already been considering developing an entire UI for the front page, and due to your request, we will move this up to include in Flint 1.6 which we hope to release mid-November.

As always, you can follow our development on GitHub. More specifically, Flint 1.6 development will be made available here.

P.S. Sorry it took so long to respond. We usually are notified when someone posts on the forums, but that didn’t happen with your post.

    Just a heads up:

    1. The new UI/template for the front page has been added to Flint 1.6 development and logged as issue #231.
    2. I noticed that you are not using the Title “DK Fitness” for your website, most likely because you don’t want it to show up in the Header and Navbar. We are adding options to display/hide the title in Navbar and Header, so you can have a name of your site without it showing where you don’t want it to.

    A few questions:

    • Are you using our plugin Steel in addition to Flint? (Not required, we are just curious.)
    • Do you have any other feature requests for Flint or Steel?
