Static front page when Polylang is activated

In WP, Settings Reading, one defines if the front-page will be posts or static page. I am unable to make WP (with POlylang activated) to load the static page; it displays a list of posts, instead, which is not the intended behaviour.

So, I thought maybe Polylang doesn’t work with static pages (if it actually does, then the wrong behaviour should be in my templates). This is, then, my question. Does Polylang respect the static page set as front-page?
