• This maybe the dumbest question ever posted but….My site has a woocommerce shop so I wanted to have a secure checkout. My host is godaddy and I bought a SSL from godaddy. I activated the “force SSL” option and one day later the shopping cart and checkout area shows https:// I didn’t make any changes within WP other than checking the “force SSL” box. Is this all I need to do? Are my customers/users now protected and secure? Thanks!

  • It’s important to ensure that any off-site assets like images, javascript and CSS are also being served up properly from your server (or another via SSL). Without it, some users will be prompted with security warnings.

This is explained in WooCommerce’s documentation. It seems that Force SSL is an easy way to enable it on your site’s page. A simple test is to view your site under Internet Explorer and confirm that it looks OK and doesn’t prompt you for security warnings.

If you don’t mind, go ahead and post the URL so we can take a look.

I did not see any insecure warnings in Chrome developer tools on your checkout page.

    Where are you seeing these?
