Hi there, i’ve been building this site for work, and have almost finished. However, some of my guinea pigs have said that it is slow to load on their computers. It runs fine on the various devices i’ve run it off, but I was wondering what other ways I could improve speed. I’m using wp-optimise at the moment, and also have been using wp-smushit to compress images.

The first test came out at a horrendous 12 secs, but the following 4 tests were under 3 seconds. Any idea why, or ways to make it more consistent?

In the settings you want to choose ny server or dallas. The Amsterdam server would be slower for US sites. Also if your using caching there can be some variance.

I recommend using w3 total cache. I think it’s the best solution. see the demo results:
