Specify custom input Date format

Under the Post Meta filter option, it’s possible for you to filter by Date, unfortunately because the date field I am trying to filter by doesn’t have the same input date format that your plugin uses it doesn’t work.

Could you please amend the plugin to either allow me to specify the date format when setting up the Post Meta filter or change the plugin so that it normalises the input date format.
