Specific Search

Hello friends, I need your help….

In WP Ver.3.0.5 I created a Portfolio page which is very similar to Gallery. In WP-Admin there is a section to add posts to be displayed at the “portfolio page” and when clicked it opens the description page for that specific portfolio item.

There are 2 problems that I am facing right now and I have no idea how to solve them.

PROBLEM 1:
All the portfolio posts are stored in WP_Posts table at the Database. I want them to be stored in a separate database table.

PROBLEM 2:
I want the “Search” to be specific to Portfolio only.

Kindly help me solve these problems as you friends have always been of great support.
