Specific feed broken
-
I am using wp-rss-aggregator for several feeds, all but two working. The specific feed which returns only ‘no items found’ is
http://www.thespoof.com/rss/feeds/frontpage/rss.xml. The other feed that doesn’t work is also from thespoof. The feed validates and if I put the same feed in the rss widget, it works just fine as it also does in my Google reader.I would presume there is something unique with the feed that wp-rss-aggregator doesn’t like, but there are no messages showing on the debugging page. Everything else seems to be perfectly normal.
I’m at a loss for how to proceed to figure out the problem. Any suggestions appreciated.

I should have also noted that the Feed Preview on the individual Feed Source page does show items, yet the count on the Feed Sources page is 0.
Hi there, I’m sorry to hear about this. Have you checked the solutions listed on our Feed Items Not importing page? If not, please have a look through them and let us know what you find.
Thanks for the response. I have looked through the Items Not Importing and don’t see anything. The funny thing is that on the Edit Feed Source page for the specific feed, the Preview Items does show the last 5 items of 35 available that were imported. So it appears that the imported is handling the feed ok. Might that imply that I AM having a problem with the permalinks? I don’t see anything I’m doing that is different from other feeds that are working properly. I am a bit of a neophyte here, so I could be missing something.
Thx,Having exactly the same problem: for just one of my posts I get “No feed items found”( in the “What have people been drinking here recently?” section at the bottom), but no problems for all of my other posts…
For all posts I created the source the same way, using an RSS feed I retrieved the same way (from Untappd venues), but just for this one feed they.Feed preview for this problem feed (1314) is fine, “Last update imported” alway states “10 items”, but “Imported Items” always stays at 0… 🙁

Hey guys, so I take it you’ve both gone through all the possible solutions listed on the documentation page? If so, can you please test out your feed sources on our Simple Feeds Bundle demo to check whether they work well on other systems?
donoxley, I can see that your source has all items 1 year old, so please confirm that you have no time limits in your settings that are preventing these from being imported.
ajmartijnk, can you please run the above test too and let us know the URL of the RSS feed in question?
Thanks, very helpful. Yes, both feeds I’m having trouble with seem to work on the demo site just fine, so it’s something I’m doing. I discovered that I had set a time limit which would have prevented the import. I changed the setting back to unlimited. But unfortunately, there is still no import. I verified that I did save the settings after changing them. Is there any place I can look (option in the DB for example) to verify that the change took? I’ve included the content of the option rss_settings_general from the DB below if it is any use. It appears to me that it implies unlimited.
Good catch on the age of the items. I’d still like to solve the problem, but if the feed is indeed that old (or no longer active), it becomes pretty uninteresting.
Appreciate the help and interest.

Are you still facing the same problem?
Yep, the problem persists for feed 1314, and now also occurs for another feed I added earlier today (7116: https://untappd.com/rss/venue/5467271). The other 34 feeds — created exactly the same way — all display as expected.
When I use the same problematic feed in the Simple Feeds Bundle demo, it does display.
