special characters crop the post

    PLease help! this is driving me dad.

    Any of my post that contain ” ‘ or other special characters end up being cut off at that point.
    I think this hasn’t occurred until updating WP to the latest version as I never had this problem before.

    I’ve searched everywhere for solutions but not found any and been struggling with this for weeks now!

    any ideas?

    Ok thanks for the help guys (NOT!)

    for the benefit of others that may come across this problem: after many days of searching the web, I finally came across some sense in the matter:

    Part of my data base wasnt set to UTF-8
    this has to be changed in WP’s read and wright settings as well as in the database tables
    Converting the old data looked like a challenge too, until i found a plugin to do this (search for UTF-8 convert)

    Finally all fixed.
