Spam Plug-in

    A WP update occurred on my blog this morning. Since the update, my spam plug-in won’t update. I deleted it and tried to install it again – I get the following message at the bottom. “Installation failed: Could not create directory. /home/dh_x8gk96/maranatha.earnestlycontending.com/wp-content/upgrade/akismet.5.3.6”

    I’m a novice and don’t understand why I am not able to install it, or any other spam plug-in for that matter.

    Check for available storage space (for your hosting tariff)

    Check directory permissions /wp-content should be writeable by PHP process (if you need help with that, you can ask your webhost support to assist)
