• I am using multisite, I want spaces in username, its not allowing me. is there any way I can create new user with space in username?

    There is no way to allow that under WordPress currently. Why do you need that? If you let us know, we may be able to point you to a good solution regardless.

    Thanks for the reply. actually I already have many usernames with spaces, so I want new usernames with spaces as well to make it look consistent. not sure if I can do this.

    How did you get the earlier usernames with spaces in WordPress?

    As far as I know, You can’t have spaces in a Username… I think you can have a ‘dot’ but I’ve never needed that so can’t swear to that either.

    Under profile you can set the first and last name and a nickname for the user. I imagine the user themselves should have that ability also during signup and at anytime they might need to edit things. On a multi-site the user is a member of the Network so any changes to the user profile is true for that user in all sites.

    I meant to add that those usernames, first, last, and nicknames can all be used to create the display name.
