Sorting Posts By Category on page using buttons

I must be using the wrong terminology for this because I can’t seem to find the right answers.

I’ve seen on sites where you can sort a person’s portfolio using buttons at the top to show just video or just websites or all. Would love to put this option at the top of my page for post categories so the user could see all or just one category since there will only be two for the blog.

Is there a plugin that does this? Could even reload the page with just the category if that’s the only option. Doesn’t have to look like the following example, I’m just interested in the ability to remove posts of one type or the other:
