Hi,
Since I haven’t heard from you I looked again in the previous threads. But after installing the sorting extension and looking at all the possibilities, it still doesn’t!
Even though you said in this thread that the + and – signs should work just fine https://wordpress.org/support/topic/sort-function-not-sorting-properly?replies=11 .
FYI i use % in other tables and never had issues so it looks like the – and + are the real issuses.
Thanks,
Hi,
thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.
As I was on holidays, I couldn’t reply earlier.
Usually, negative numbers sort just fine. Therefore, I assume that your table does not contain plain numbers. Can you please post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!
Regards,
Tobias
Hi Tobias,
Well it looks like it work now 🙂 I published the page and it’s ok, maybe it was only the “preview” not sorting it right.
Anyway all is good!
Thanks,
Hi,
Actually I may need you help for something. Since in the admin view I can’t sort correctly the numbers, I can’t save the table with 482.5% as the first row on my page: https://www.althos-patrimoine.com/comparez-tous-les-fcpi-fip-2016/ .
Do you know how we could make it happen, cause I would like the first row to display the biggest number?
Thanks,
Hi,
good to hear that it’s working on the live site now! 🙂
Unfortunately, I’ll have to disappoint you about the sorting on the “Edit” screen. That uses a different sorting algorithm that does not support percentage values with negative numbers at the moment.
I can therefore only suggest that you order the table on the “Edit” screen manually, using drag and drop on the row numbers on the left.
Regards,
Tobias
Hi,
no problem, you are very welcome! 🙂 Good to hear that this helped!
Best wishes,
Tobias
