    Hi,

Big fan of this plugin and have been for quite a while.

    2 Questions.

I’m occasionally getting this ?WPACRandom=1375477238005 appearing at the end of a url after a comment is made. eg http://www.example.com/post/?WPACRandom=1375477238005

This happened on chrome not seen it elsewhere, seems random as if something doesn’t load on the page. Comment goes through.

Second question is in regards to server resources. I see comments coming through a being a high resource. I know WP comments have issues with server usage. Just wondering if the plugin author has done any testing with this plugin to see if there’s any additional strain?

  • Hi Dave,

    thanks for your comment.

The plugin loads the page with the WPACRandom query string if something went wrong and the plugin is not able to load/post comments with AJAX. You need to find out a way to reproduce the issue and we can fix it. Most likely, you have to change the plugin’s selector settings.

Regarding your second question: The pluing does not add any noticeable overhead on the server side. With or without the plugin the web-server has to process the same requests/data and the same code is executed.

    Hope this helps…

    Hi Janjonas

    Thanks for the fast reply.

Hmmm. I’ll keep an eye out for that string should it appear again. Host has been under pressure today. And I just did some updates. I should have a lots of comments coming in next week so I’ll see if it replicates and let you know.

Thanks for the server load answer. Put’s my mind at ease.

Thanks again for the great work in making WP comments a lot better!

    Hi Dave,

thanks for the feedback. If you have a lot of traffic you should think about using some caching plugin to reduce the server load if you do not already use a caching plugin.

I will close the topic. Please feel free to reopen the thread if you need further assistance…
