Something added a hidden page

    One day while browsing the admin panel, I found something interesting.

    I have 3 pages in my WordPress. That’s how many the list shows. But the counter at the top shows one more. Let’s start investigating.

    Plugin list and similar case.

    Additional plugins are visible via FTP. (Health… and Performance…)

    Then I searched directly in the SQL database. I found an additional page there that I did not add. While searching by page ID I found something like this.

    Later, while browsing through the plugin files, I found the hide_pages_posts_options in Performance Lab. 

    The page that was added without my knowledge was about gambling and contained many links to gambling-related content.

    How do you think this page was added?
