    hi,

    first, what does “meta” mean in the context of wordpress? im not asking what a meta TAG is, im asking what the text represents in the sidebar.

    next, id like to add some web badges to my blog. should i manually add them to the sidebar in the location of my choice or is there a more graceful (native) way to do this without using the editor? i don’t want to add them as links through the links menu because i dont want them preceded by that >> bullet. any ideas?

    Meta roughly means something to do with site administration. you will find login, register, rss info there.

    To add badges to your sidebar, go to your dashboard->Apperances->Widgets. Then drag a “text” widget to the sidebar and paste the code for your widget.

    outstanding information. is there a graceful way to add images from my library, or do i just put whatever html will work?
